ELIET Topdresser EcoCure
Due to the increase in periods of heavy rainfall, topdressing is becoming an even more important method of utilising lawns as infiltration zones for rainwater.
With the two models Topdresser EcoCure WS-ZR and EcoCure DS-ZR, ELIET offers the ideal solution to make the lawn fit for this purpose. The basic prerequisite for this is a healthy lawn soil with good drainage capacity and a strong root network. Stimulating soil life achieves this in a completely natural way. Landscape gardeners encourage this in their customers' gardens by regularly applying suitable spreading material such as fine compost, coarse compost, sand, lime, organic fertiliser and other soil conditioners.
And this is how it works
A 45 cm wide conveyor belt runs along the bottom of the conical hopper and transports the spreading material. The conveyor belt is hydraulically driven and electrically activated via a switch on the steering. The flow rate of the spreading material can be controlled by the speed of the conveyor belt and by the adjustable opening under the slide of the dosing rail.
The spreading material falls onto two rapidly rotating, hydraulically driven spreading discs (Ø 38 cm), which eject the spreading material evenly over a distance of up to 5 m. Hence the additional designation WS Wide Spread.
ELIET Topdresser EcoCure WS-ZR
The ELIET EcoCure™ ZR-WS is a manoeuvrable, only 90 cm wide, self-propelled lawn mower that fits through any garden gate. The drive is fully hydrostatic with infinitely variable forward and reverse speed, which makes the machine highly manoeuvrable and enables topdressing in the forward or reverse direction. The EcoCure™ has a large 400-litre hopper. Wide pneumatic tyres distribute the axle load so that the machine leaves no ruts. Thanks to the steerable twin front wheels, the topdresser has a very tight turning radius, ideal for use on small lawns.
ELIET Topdresser EcoCure WS-DS
In addition to the Eco Cure™ WS-ZR, ELIET also offers the Eco Cure™ DS-ZR variant. The difference between the two is that the ‘DS’ (Drop Spread) does not spread the material over a large area via rotating discs, but limits it very precisely to a width of 90 cm. The structure of the spreader is therefore completely different.
The hopper has vertical side walls that increase the capacity by 15 %. The conveyor belt runs across the entire width of the hopper. With the ‘DS’, the metering bar also determines the throughput or flow rate of the spreading material.
A large brush roller, which rotates at the rear end of the conveyor belt, distributes the spreading material evenly over the turf. The brush roller has a diameter of 24 cm and applies the spreading material to the turf at a very high speed. As a result, the spreading material penetrates very deeply between the blades of grass so that it is barely visible. Both the conveyor belt and the brush roller are hydraulically driven and the speed can be adjusted. Spreading with the Eco Cure™ DS-ZR is very precise, the seed is distributed very intensively and very evenly over the lawn, square metre by square metre.
The Eco Cure™ DS-ZR offers the option of re-seeding at the same time as fertilising. A container with lawn seed is placed for this purpose. The lawn seed is then spread evenly over the lawn in a stream. This further increases the lawn seed's chances of germination.
