EGO Challenge 2025: Battery revolution for a cleaner, quieter and safer future

EGO's vision is that within five years, battery power will become the main source of energy for power gardening tools. The battery technology already exists today. So there is a solution. EGO makes it possible to do without petrol for gardening. This leads to a significant reduction in emissions and noise while increasing safety and ease of use.

EGO has a simple vision. Using the latest technologies, they are developing an innovative power tool system without the harmful emissions, noise pollution and health risks associated with petrol-powered tools. At the same time, EGO tools deliver the performance that users expect and need.

The EGO Challenge 2025 is a call to private users, but also professional users of gardening tools, to use rechargeable batteries when buying new tools.

Switch to battery power and help plant trees

As part of the Challenge 2025, EGO has partnered with the Eden Reforestation Projects and pledged to plant a tree for every EGO appliance sold in Europe and, in addition, for every appliance registered for an extended warranty.

What is EGO? With a focus on innovation, EGO Power+ designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of battery-powered outdoor power equipment from lawn mowers to handheld tools such as lawn trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and leaf blowers. Their unique patented 56V ARC Lithiumâ„¢ batteries have the industry's highest capacity in a portable battery and the power to outperform petrol.

Why is EGO planting trees?

EGO is committed not only to driving innovation with battery-powered devices, but also to helping organisations like Eden Reforestation Projects not only contribute to improving the environment, but also participate in its restoration.

"Our desire to create a greener future is not limited to the products we develop. It also includes the way we work, the places we work and the relationships we have with our customers and dealer partners."

What exactly is Eden Reforestation Projects?

Eden Reforestation Projects is a non-profit NGO working in developing countries to restore natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation. Eden works directly with communities suffering extreme poverty as a result of deforestation and land degradation.

Eden operates in nine project nations, planting nearly one million trees a day and maintaining planting levels even when faced with political unrest, extreme weather, wildlife or other disturbances. As they restore the tree canopy, foliage, water and wildlife return and nature begins to recover. Meanwhile, communities facing extreme poverty are given new opportunities for economic self-sufficiency, improved health as well as education.
